Conference venue

Recently refurbished, One Whitehall Place had it’s first stone laid by four-times UK Prime Minister William Gladstone in 1884. It houses Europe’s largest unsupported marble staircase. The rooms being used for the Healthy Foods European Summit boast spectacular views over London’s river Thames to the London Eye Millennium Wheel.

The Royal Horseguards Hotel is linked to One Whitehall place and is one of London’s premier hotels. Also overlooking the river Thames, near the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square, this Grade I listed building offers luxurious accommodation and the highest standard of service and care.

All rooms (some with river views) have been refurbished to executive standard and are air conditioned with internet connection, mini bar, iron, 24-hour room service etc. The hotel is within walking distance of many major London sights, theatres and shops. It is also very close to Covent Garden – where there are numerous excellent restaurants.

Transport

The closest underground station to the venue is the Embankment (Circle, District, Bakerloo & Northern lines). The closest overground rail station is Charing Cross. (Bakerloo & Northern lines) Both are just one/two stops away from Waterloo (Jubilee, Bakerloo & Northern lines) – providing easy access from Eurostar.

London Heathrow is accessible via underground link or via the Heathrow Express combined with underground. An alternative flight option would be City Airport which is about half to 3/4hour away.
